From the big picture to the every day detail

let's turn your idea into reality together

"Oh, a landscape Architect, what''s That?"

Landscape architecture is a wide reaching discipline, our remit is any and everything outside (and sometimes inside).

Landscape Architect is a protected title for a professional with a grounding in all areas relating to planning and design of external spaces, and an understanding of how our work fits with that of the other consultants on your team. An architect may have experience of 'the green bits' on their plans as may a planner, an ecologist, a highways engineer, the list goes on, but would you ask us to design a building, pull up the perfect legal precedent or policy, tell you which of 30 grass species you have on your plot? You get the picture.

Appointing a landscape architect, or CMLI, means we've been through a rigorous training and qualification process overseen by the Landscape Institute and we've committed to never stop learning, so should give you a level of confidence in our ability to listen to your ideas, analyse your site and translate that into a high quality, sustainable, and achievable design.

You might know exactly what you want, or just have an idea or an inspiration, you may want to get it done as soon as possible, you may want to take your time.  Here at tirwel we cover all stages of design from the very beginning conceptual and masterplanning stages, through development of outline and detailed plans with construction details and planting plans for submission for planning approval, to landscaping plans and LEMPs for planning condition discharge.  For certain projects we will also work with you to prepare tender and construction drawings.  Our work is all prepared in a way which enables it to be shared with other designers, whilst being understood by everyone.

tirwel's design passions lie in those spaces which enhance the lives of their users - private residences, school grounds, care home gardens, community spaces - as well as those that give back to the environment or ensure our historic landscapes continue to be enjoyed for generations to come.
